Blog hopping around the book blogs. Who is your favorite new-to-me author? I'm not sure I can answer this one because most of the books I read are new authors.
Hello, found you at the hop. Just stopped by for a look see. I think the hop is a marvelous way to meet bloggers both old and new. This week my trip to the Hop is brought to you by the number 8. I have a contest going on at http://lisaslovesbooksofcourse.blogspot.com/2010/06/first-contest-100-followers-birthday.html (\___/) (='.'=) (")_(")
Linda, thanks for stopping by. Can you recommend your favourite Dean Koontz please, as you saw I really enjoyed Ligntning but I am reading The Husband now and I am not impressed.
Thanks
I am happy for you to respond here, I will come back or of course you can come back over to Tea Time with Marce
Thanks you for stopping by Lisa and Marce. As for Dean Koontz, it depends on whether you like his dark scary stuff or some of his not-so-scary writing. I just read Breathless which I loved, but it not as dark as some of his earlier stuff. Scary good one would be Watchers. The Husband was good. I have really liked all but one of his books - and I can't remember the name of that one. It was shockingly dark. I have some of his Odd Thomas books, but I haven't read them yet. Don't know if this has helped!
How about Joshua Harris or Mitch Albom? They are indeed great with their craft of writing. Have you read any of their books? They are life moving. Very good authors, indeed.
I am no longer accepting books for review. Most of the books that I review on this blog I have received free of charge from the publisher, publicist, or author. In most cases it is an advanced reader copy or electronic copy. Receipt of the book is always with the understanding that I only post honest, thoughtful reviews. I receive a short description of the book from the sender, and then I try to accept only books I will like. I am not an author nor professional writer. I am just a book lover and enjoy blogging. Unless I note that I am reviewing a library, a purchased, or borrowed book, you may assume that my book has been received for review.
